1965 Mustang with 289 automatic. This car was originally a light blue metallic, with an all white standard interior with blue carpet.
In these next pictures you can see the rear fenders and trunk lid have been repaired. At Paint by Marty the rust isn't treated or covered up. It is cut out and new sheet metal put in its place. Here a quarter panel is replaced using plug welds and beveled seams. When finished The Blue Angel will be Midnight Pearl Blue with Dark Blue and White Pony Interior and blue carpet. |

And it has come back to us! The new owners are staying with the blue paint scheme, so now the car will be known as Megan's Blue Angel!
While it was away the 289 has been cleaned, painted, and polished, and new front suspension and steering components added.
A bit of rust has appeared on the battery side fender apron, and in the floor pan. Once this is taken care of, it will be time to start splashing some blue!
